Mirka Duijn is a Dutch-Finnish filmmaker working and living in Göteborg, Sweden. She makes and produces documentary, fiction, and experimental film projects.

Mirka Duijn started her career in 2003 at broadcasting station VPRO Digital where she experimented with interactive and trans-media storytelling for web and TV. In 2008 she decided to focus on directing completely. Since then she has been working on various fiction, documentary, interactive and experimental film projects. At the moment she is finalising the documentary Shangri-La, Paradise under Construction. Mirka is also Senior Lecturer in Film at the Master of Film at HDK-Valand in Göteborg.

Together with long term collaborator Nina Spiering, Mirka Duijn runs Studio Kimmo, a small but sturdy production studio.

Won an International Digital EMMY® Award 2015 and a Prix Europa 2014 with Last Hijack Interactive (interactive director). Won a Peabody Award in 2019, was in competition at IDFA in the same year and has been nominated for a Prix Europa in 2019 with The Industry (director) with Submarine Channel.
